Indian Battle Heights Neighbourhood
Indian Battle Heights is a large neighbourhood running westward from University Dr W to the future Metis Dr W and from Whoop Up Dr W northward to Garry Dr W. Homes in this neighbourhood were built between 1979 and 2008. G.S. Lakie Middle School, Mike Mountain Horse Elementary School and Father Leonard Van Tighem School are all located in Indian Battle Heights, which also provides residents with access to baseball diamonds and soccer fields. This community offers numerous parks including Blackfoot Park, Assiniboia Park, Algonquin Park, Willow Pointe Park, Willow Brook Park, Squamish Park, Salish Park and Atso Towaawa Park. Indian Battle Heights offers some duplex and townhome development in addition to a multi-family apartment development. Mic Mac Plaza strip mall provides access to fast food and convenience stores. West Lethbridge Towne Centre is found on the northern border of Indian Battle Heights, and provides access to additional restaurants, fast food, grocery, gas, and retail stores.
